What a great time. We (Ann, Maureen, Allen, Sean, Michael & Myself), headed off to the "Spirit of St. Louis Airport" to see the air show, and boy was it pretty cool. Sean and Michael were kinda bored after about 10-15 minutes of watching the planes go by. I can't blame them though, as military fighters and bi-planes are for the bigger kids. They suffered through it pretty well.
After watching the sky for awhile, Ann and Maureen took the boys to the rides for the remainder of our stay. That, I think, is when they (the boys) had thier fun.
The only thing I didn't like about the event was the expense. They wanted a lot of tickets for everything. You had to buy tickets in minimum increments of $5. Ann went and grabbed everyone a soda. That's 6 sodas for 30 tickets ($2.50 each for a 20oz bottle of soda). The rides ranged from 4 to 12 tickets - OUCH!
Even with the high prices, it was a pretty good time. The boys handled themselves pretty well (i.e. no major eruptions). The weather was nice, if not a little warm. And the planes were awesome!
Can't wait until next year!
